Organizer: Paulo Barros

The Advent sermon series is called Songs of Christmas, with a focus on a specific Christmas carol each week as we unpack the good news of God’s Messiah born unto us! Everyone is invited, you and/or your children to artistically create an expression of each song as we go through the series. Our intent is to provide a gallery of art each week in the foyers and sanctuaries that expresses the heart of the song and its message. The pastors may also highlight your art in their messages! In addition to our local art, we will be featuring several pieces by artist Rudolph Bostic.

Below is the schedule for the Songs of Christmas series, including the song featured each week, and the Monday deadline for the corresponding art. Please note that art submissions should be dropped off at your home campus. Drop artwork at either church office on weekdays, Sundays in the lobby area.

  • December 5: O Holy Night, due Nov. 29
  • December 12: Walk to the Manger (no art submissions)
  • December 19: What Child is This?, due Dec.13
  • December 24: Silent Night, due Dec. 20
  • December 26: We Three Kings, due Dec. 20

All submissions by children to be on 8.5x11 paper using their choice of “coloring tools.”

Teenage and adult artists are welcome to submit larger works if they wish (easels for display are encouraged!). After the series your artwork will be available for pickup or we will hold on to them for future use if you prefer.
