SKC Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregiver Group
Every month on the first Thursday of the month from 12:00p to 1:30p
Organizer: Betsy Vicknair

Ongoing Monthly
This support group meets at South KC the first Thursday of the month from 12 noon to 1:30 PM. Giving care to a loved one with dementia can be challenging, physically depleting and emotionally draining. If you are caring for a loved one with dementia, you are warmly invited to become part of this group. The group will provide encouragement, a better understanding of the disease, a time to share personal experiences, and give assurances that, “You are not alone.”  Group facilitated by Colonial member Don Zoller, who wrote This Ugly Disease: A Caregiver's Journey into Pain, Anguish and Hope based on his role as caregiver for his wife. For planning purposes, first time attenders please contact Don. Contact: Don Zoller,, (913) 871-1665.
