Professional Counselors and Crisis Services

We all need a little help when we experience challenging circumstances and relationships, past or present trauma,

or difficulty overcoming entrenched patterns of behavior. We hope the information provided

on these pages helps you to connect with the appropriate resources in your time of need.

Colonial Assessors

Both of the Colonial Assessors are credentialed therapists and members of Colonial. After meeting with you and assessing your situation, they can help you choose counselors from our referral list (see below) that are best suited for your situation. They can help you develop a healing/recovery plan that may include classes, groups, reading material. They are also aware of various local services (Christian and non-Christian) if you cannot find what you need in all of the information found on this page.

The charge to you for this service would be $10 for a one-hour assessment.
To contact an Assessor:

Professional Counselors & Specialty Clinics

Colonial’s referral list of individual professional counselors and licensed specialty clinics is a network of professional care that is distinctively Christian and, we believe, clinically excellent. The individual counselors are state licensed, certified, and/or properly credentialed Christian counselors.

    • Spiritual direction is part of a classic Christian rhythm in the sanctification process. In an individual’s on-going discipleship toward cultivating a deeper personal relationship with God, the prayer practice of spiritual direction can help create awareness of God’s active work during particular life circumstances which help foster faith growth. A Spiritual Director is a prayer partner invited to come alongside to help discern God’s movements in the life of the disciple.,, 913.221.7223.
