Wornall Middle School MinistryThanks for taking the time to discover more of what Wornall Middle School Student Ministry is all about. The information below is primarily for 7th and 8th Grade students, if you are looking for 5th and 6th Grade info, please click here!!
![]() Our Vision: Wornall Middle School Student Ministry exists to help 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students become passionate, selfless followers of Jesus Christ! Our holistic discipleship approach challenges students to embody lifestyles of worship, community, and mission by encountering God, growing in love for one another, and impacting those in need. Simply put, this vision shapes our ministry identity.
Our Programs:
Count on us being there every Sunday from 11:00am -12:15pm in the Middle School Room at the Wornall Student Center. Also, count on a relaxed atmosphere, donuts, THE question of the week, lots of interactive discussion, and a time of applicable teaching geared directly toward 7th and 8th Grade students.
Student Life Groups are the heart of Colonial's Student Ministry. Each week, students (age and gender specific) gather with incredible volunteer leaders whose desire is to lead, equip, and nurture spiritual growth for every student they encounter. To that end, Life Groups are designed to be safe enough for anyone, but bold enough to proclaim the TRUTH of Scripture. Life Groups will meet on Wednesday nights (7-8:30pm) in homes near the Wornall campus (95th and Wornall Road). We will gather at Culvers (80th and State Line Road) around 8:30pm. Pickup is at Culvers no later than 9:15pm! Wornall Middle School Student Ministry is constantly seeking qualified ministry partners to help lead a Middle School Small Group. If you find within yourself a growing desire to pour some of your life into the lives of middle schoolers, please contact me so we can begin the conversation.
Mission Arlington: This summer we are headed to Arlington, Texas from June 17 - 23, 2012 to serve with Mission Arlington and the people of their community! More information about our trip to Arlington this summer, click here.
Freedom Fire: The first Friday of every month, we join up with our Middle School pals from Quivira, head down to Guinotte Manor, and partner with Freedom Fire. Once we are down there, we enjoy hanging out, building relationships, serving dinner, and making sure we are practicing what we are all about!
