We love the word SIMPLE! So here's how we go about helping people become passionate, selfless followers of Christ. Every week, we SIMPLY ask each person to commit one hour to each of the following three environments and experiences: |

Encounter God
|
| |
The moment you step out of your car, we want to move you towards an encounter with Jesus Christ. Nothing will change your life like encountering the one who died for you! There are many ways that can happen, but we KNOW it will happen in our Weekend Worship Services!
Every service anticipates that God will make His presence known in the hearts of each person in the room, including those who come seeking a first-time encounter with Christ. Our pastors TEACH the Word of God with the intent of equipping Christians and engaging non-believers in a conversation about TRUTH. We LOVE diversity, so ALL people are welcome to come and encounter God at Colonial!

Grow with Others

Colonial is a church OF small groups. To be a part of our large family is to actively participate in a smaller, connected group of people who share life together. When it comes to following Christ, no one grows alone! We need close relationships with others to shape us, hold us accountable, and stretch us as we study, pray, play, serve, laugh, and cry together in groups.
Make no mistake: our groups are designed to help you GROW in your faith and commitment to follow Christ. We have groups for all stages of faith and all stages of life. As much as we are committed to move you to an ENCOUNTER with GOD, we are equally committed to lead you into authentic, Christian community in groups.

Impact People

God endows each believer with unique gifts and a unique Kingdom purpose. We're committed to help you discover both! There are two primary reasons for you to serve in impact ministries:
- You simply WON'T grow into full spiritual maturity until you are using your gifts to serve, and
- The inevitable result of knowing Christ is a deep longing to be used by Christ to make an impact in the lives of others.
We are committed to equipping you and then releasing you to serve aggressively as you feel called . . . It's not about Colonial—it's about you fulfilling your Kingdom destiny to the glory of our Risen King!

Our Vision
For 57 years, God has faithfully accomplished amazing ministry through this Body of Christ called Colonial. We're confident that He has great adventures and opportunities in store for us in the future. In the fall of 2008, our leadership sensed God calling us to GIVE IT AWAY! Our current vision is a mandate . . . it's also a movement!. We sense God calling us to generously commit to advancing His gospel through impacting our local and global communities. What does that look like? |

SITE MULTIPLICATION

We sense God calling us to extend our multi-site reality to more locations—taking the church to the people rather than hoping for people to come to us. We're sensing that God is calling us to give ourselves away in order to create partner sites with smaller, struggling congregations within or even outside our community. This may sound risky, but it is a vision we feel Colonial is uniquely gifted and positioned to undertake. |

CITY TRANSFORMATION

We sense God calling us to LOVE our CITY! Historically, we know that if we're going to change the world, we begin with the city. Colonial has a long history of serving the KC metro area, but now we are committed to give ourselves away for the sake of impacting our city in a new and compelling way. |

GLOBAL COMPASSION
|
| |
We sense God calling us to give away our resources and our lives to rescue orphans in Africa and other countries where the AIDS/HIV epidemic has created parentless families. In partnership with The Global Orphan Project – powered by C3 Missions – we have created The Colonial Global Orphan Project. Our first initiative is Impact Africa, where we will be working with orphan projects in Kenya and Malawi. |
