We will be studying Nancy Guthrie’s book – Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament – The Son of David. The books of 1st and 2nd Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther will be included. As we study these books we will find a fresh perspective on Israel’s history and God’s kingdom and more importantly a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scriptures.

This intergenerational group is a great way to grow deeper in your faith AND connect with a variety of women in different ages and stages of life. It will be a large group/small group format, with each meeting having some time in large group and some time in small group discussion.

KPARC TBRI Parents Circle 10 week class. This isa FREE Relationship and parent education program for parents who have adopted chilren from Kansas Foster care or current foster parents who are planning to adopt. Participants will learn skills necessary to parent children who have experienced trauma. This class includes a kids program for children 12 and under to learn the same skills that their parents do.

This Bible study was started 37 years ago by Bob Lehleitner. Bob is not leading the study at this time, but attends and shares his wisdom weekly. This summer we will be studying Paul’s letters to Timothy. We save time to pray for each other. Throughout the week we update each other by email on prayer requests, answers to prayer, praises, etc. We welcome newcomers to share in this rich time.

DivorceCare

Offers practical information that will help you recover from your separation or divorce. You will receive expert video teaching on divorce and recovery subjects, group discussion on the teaching topics, and an opportunity to continue the processing through daily individual work. Living with Loss

For groups specifically developed for Christians, GriefShare is a wonderful option. Contacts: Westside Family Lenexa (https://westsidefamily.church/lifelines), (Heartland Community Church (heartlandchurch.org), College Church of the Nazarene (collegechurch.com), or the national website for other local options (griefshare.org/findagroup). Additionally, grief recovery groups offered by Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care are not faith specific, but, are extremely helpful for those who feel stuck in their grieving process. Job Search Support Group (Ongoing)

This group is provided by Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. A Christian forum for job seekers to learn job search techniques/tactics and network with others who may assist in identifying and introducing them to potential employers. Dementia Caregiver Support Group (Ongoing)

Sufficient Grace Dementia Support Group is under the guidance of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church’s Stephen Ministry program for families with a loved one affected by dementia. This is an ongoing group. Contact: Barry Duwe at duweba@gmail.com.

Healing for the Pain and Loss of Abortion

If Not for Grace, a local ministry, offers a 9-week class for women struggling with the pain of abortion. This class is held multiple times a year throughout the metro KC area. Through the use of creative and artistic expression, journaling and Bible reading, participants work to overcome lies that bind the abortion-wounded. Contact: 816.847.2911 or go online to www.infg.org.

Caregivers Support Group (Ongoing)

This groups meets on the third Thursday of the month, from 1:30 PM–3:00 PM in the Wornall Prayer Room. Get care-giving tips, advice, and support with others who understand the role of being a caregiver. Connect with those who understand what you’re going through.
