Helping people become passionate, selfless followers of Christ

Welcome to the Starting Point experience!

Starting Point is a conversational environment where you can explore faith and experience community.

In preparation for each group meeting, there will be a chapter to read and a few questions to answer in a Conversation Guide. Each chapter contains five components:

Conversation Guide. Each chapter contains five components:

  • The Story Unfolds: Narrative introduction
  • The Story Behind the Story: Key Scripture text
  • Tensions in the Story: Thought-provoking question
  • Continuing the Story: Additional resources
  • Storyline: The bottom line
There are also audio, video, or other experiential components to do each week. The group experience will be based on all of these elements. Therefore, it's important to complete them each week before your group meeting. In preparation for your first group meeting, please read and complete the questions for Chapter One.

When your group meets, discussion and dialogue will be a priority. Your leaders will not teach or lecture, but will facilitate conversation and seek input from all members. Plan to ask good questions and share what you are learning. Be respectful of others in the group. Listen when they speak and be affirming whenever you can. Above all, trust that God has led you here for a reason. . . to find your place in the story.

The cost of class materials is $20, but we don’t want that to be the deciding factor on whether you join the group or not.  If you need financial help to participate, please let us know on the registration form.
