Special MinistriesMission
Colonial’s Special Ministries programs reach out to persons and families who live with the difficulties of Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness. Knowing the Lord has blessed all of His children with spiritual gifts, our goal is to offer persons with disabilities and/or mental illness the opportunity to recognize, utilize and maximize their specific talents in service to others. Care’n Club, established in 1996, supports and encourages persons and families of persons diagnosed with mental illness. Abounding Love, which began in 1984, offers persons with developmental disabilities an opportunity to learn about the Lord and the chance to worship Him in a welcoming environment. Both of these ministries teach the message of Christ’s redemptive love through His death, burial and resurrection. Through loving relationships, our Ministry Partners are paramount in empowering leadership, inspiring worshipers, and creating a passionate spirituality in our members.
