RECOVERY & SUPPORT

Focused Support for Life’s Challenges

Are you looking for a group where you can come as you are, share honestly, and remove your masks? Experience God’s love, comfort, and faithfulness as you journey with others who are in similar life situations.

Recovery in Christ: 12-Steps (New groups form early 2018)

We are so excited to be in the pilot stage of a 12-step discipleship program called Re:generation (Re:gen).  By working through these steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, eating disorders, fear, control, same sex attraction, anger, obsessive thoughts and many other personal struggles. Because the goal is heart-transformation not behavior management, these men’s and women’s group are mixed-issue groups. Contact Kim Jones, 816.501.3045. Learn more.

Grief Support

Groups for those who have lost a loved one and for those who have other significant losses in their life. In addition to Colonial groups, see the national Grief Share website for churches in the area who host a Grief Share group.

Healing for the Pain and Loss of Abortion

For women only. This 9-week class for women struggling with the pain of abortion is provided by If Not for Grace Ministries. These small classes are led by trained peer-facilitators. Through the use of creative and artistic expression, journaling, and Bible reading, participants work to overcome lies that bind the abortion-wounded. Learn more.
